Fishing in Thailand

All my life I have fished, be that competition, pleasure or specimen. In all of those years, nothing gives you the buzz of the take, and fight of a true fishing monster. To see a 100lb fish surface after an hour long battle, is not only relief, but a sense of thrill that no emotion can match. To do it in exotic locations, with the sun hitting your back, and in surreal locations is a truly overwhelming experience.

I have been lucky that I have fished both the commercial and natural venues in Thailand, and I believe there is no other country that comes close. From spectacular resorts like Gillhams, Exotic and Jurassic, to natural venues like the Meaklong river and Khoa Laem Dam, there is something for everyone.

I will be adding to my latest blog page my continued escapades to these amazing venues, and some past experiences of battles with true fishing monsters. We are currently in a worldwide pandemic that sees us unable to travel anywhere in the world. Who knows when we will get back to some form of normality, and enjoy the things we like. The Thailand resorts depend on tourists, and with no one being able to come into the country, are really suffering. It takes big money to set up these amazing resorts, and staff still have to be kept, grounds and facilities still have to be maintained. Lets all hope and pray that we all get back to normal soon.
